Avery Carpentry Contractors Ltd. was engaged by Mansell (Balfour Beatty) on the successful multi-million pound project to transform Exeter Central Library into a first-class facility for information, learning and culture.
The City’s flagship 1960’s building is Devon’s largest and busiest library and the £4m 18 month scheme saw a wide range of improvements made to the library over 4 levels, including better accessibility, increased space for children and a new café.
Avery Carpentry supplied and installed new floors, screens, partitioning and 1st & 2nd fix items in both softwood and hardwood, also carrying out substantial alteration and remedial works to the existing structure and carpentry/joinery items.
